RAMALLAH, Sunday, April 25, 2021 (WAFA) – The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings in the West Bank reached 109.29 points in March marking an increase of 0.66 percent compared with February 2021, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
At the level of major groups, labor costs and wages increased by 1.34 percent, and the prices of raw materials increased by 0.38 percent, while rental of equipment slightly decreased by 0.08 percent% during March 2021 compared with the previous month.
Increase in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Non-residential Buildings
The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for non-residential buildings reached 108.89 points with an increase of 0.64 percent in the West Bank during March 2021 compared with February 2021.
At the level of major groups, labor costs and wages increased by 1.34 percent, and the prices of raw materials increased by 0.37 percent, while rental of equipment slightly decreased by 0.08 percent during March 2021 compared with the previous month.
Increase in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Skeleton Buildings
The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for skeleton buildings reached 108.61 with an increase of 0.72 percent in the West Bank during March 2021 compared with February 2021.
At the level of major groups, labor costs and wages increased by 1.27 percent, and the prices of raw materials increased by 0.53 percent, while rental of equipment slightly decreased by 0.08 percent during March 2021 compared with the previous month.
Slight increase in the Road Cost Index (RCI)
The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) reached 107.55 with a slight increase of 0.01 percent in the West Bank during March 2021 compared with February 2021.
At the level of major groups, operating costs of equipment and maintenance increased by 0.21%, and the prices of raw materials increased by 0.10%, while labor costs and wages decreased by 0.23%, and rental of equipment decreased by 0.17% during March 2021 compared with the previous month.
Increase in the Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI)
The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) reached 118.11 with an increase of 0.41% in the West Bank during March 2021 compared with February 2021.
Water Reservoirs Cost Index reached 110.39 with an increase of 1.24%, and Water Networks Cost Index reached 121.61 with a slight increase of 0.07% during March 2021 compared with the previous month.
Increase in the Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI)
The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) reached 109.23 with an increase of 0.12% in the West Bank* during March 2021 compared with February 2021.
