RAMALLAH, Friday, April 23, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy to clear and warm to relatively hot in most districts and hot in the Jordan Valley in daytime with a significant rise in temperature, which approaches 6°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Partly cloudy to clear and relatively warm conditions are expected in night hours. Light to moderate northwesterly to northeasterly wind blows. Sea waves are low.  

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 27°C and a low of 16°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 26°C and a low of 15°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 34°C and a low of 22°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 26°C and a low of 18°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

An additional rise is expected in temperature which approaches 9°C above the seasonal average on Saturday, with mostly clear and hot to very hot conditions in daytime. Slightly cold conditions are expected in nighttime and early morning hours.

No significant change is expected in temperature on Sunday, with mostly clear and unseasonably hot to very hot conditions in daytime. Slightly cold conditions are expected in nighttime.

Monday’s temperature is set to plummet and become seasonal, paving the way to partly cloudy and mild conditions in most districts and relatively hot conditions in the Jordan Valley.

PMD warns people against exposure to the sun for long period, especially from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry grassy areas.
