RAMALLAH, Thursday, April 22, 2021 (WAFA) – Nineteen people have died of the coronavirus disease in Palestine in the last 24 hours and 1652 new cases were recorded, according to the daily report on the disease.
Health Minister Mai Alkaila said 11 of the dead and 1179 of the new cases were in the Gaza Strip, which also had 1902 recoveries, while the West Bank had eight deaths, 473 new cases, and 458 recoveries. No data was available from East Jerusalem, which recently witnessed a sharp drop in new corona cases and deaths.
According to Alkaila, 153 people remain in intensive care units, among them 37 are on ventilators.
She also said that 132,621 people have been vaccinated in the West Bank and 35,090 people in the Gaza Strip.
