RAMALLAH, Friday, April 16, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy to clear and relatively hot in most districts and hot in the Jordan Valley in daytime with a rise in temperature, which approaches 6 to 7°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Clear to partly cloudy and warm conditions are expected in nighttime. Light to moderate northwesterly to northeasterly wind blows. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 28°C and a low of 16°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 27°C and a low of 15°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 37°C and a low of 20°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 25°C and a low of 17°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

A further slight warm-up is expected on Saturday, paving the way to hot conditions in all districts and very hot and dry conditions in the Jordan Valley in daytime. Moderate to warm conditions are expected in most districts and slightly cold conditions in mountains in nighttime.

Sunday’s temperature is set to further rise and approach 9 to 10°C above the seasonal average, paving the way to very hot and dry conditions.

A further rise is expected in temperature, which approaches 13 to 15 above the seasonal average on Monday, paving the way to extremely hot and dry weather conditions.

PMD warns people against exposure to the sun for long period, particularly from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry grassy areas.
