Weather forecast: Significant rise in temperature expected

RAMALLAH, Wednesday, April 14, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today is clear to partly cloudy and mild in mountainous districts and warm to relatively hot in other districts in daytime with a significant rise in temperature, which becomes a little above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Clear to partly cloudy and relatively cold conditions are expected in nighttime. Light to moderate northwesterly to northeasterly wind blows in daytime, while northwesterly to southeasterly wind blows in nighttime. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 22°C and a low of 12°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 21°C and a low of 11°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 18°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 22°C and a low of 13°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Thursday’s temperature is set to further rise and approach 4 to 5°C above the seasonal average, paving the way to mostly clear and relatively hot conditions in most districts and hot conditions in the Jordan Valley in daytime. Moderate to slightly cold conditions are expected in nighttime.

A further slight rise is expected in temperature on Friday with mostly clear and relatively hot conditions in most districts and hot conditions in the Jordan Valley.

Saturday’s temperature is set to remain steady, with relatively hot conditions in mountains and hot and dry conditions in the Jordan Valley.
