RAMALLAH, Saturday, January 16, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today in Palestine is partly cloudy and cold, particularly in mountainous districts, with a slight chance of rain mainly in the north of the county, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Winds are westerly to southwesterly, moderate to active, and sea waves are medium to high.
Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 12°C and a low of 8°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 11°C and a low of 7°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 21°C and a low of 13°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 17°C and a low of 12°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
A low-pressure front is expected to affect the country tomorrow, Sunday, with rain expected in the northern regions and will gradually spread to other districts at night. Thunderstorms and hail are also expected at night along with strong winds.
A drop in temperature is expected for Monday as the low pressure continues to affect the area bringing very cold conditions, rain, thunderstorms and hail.
Another low pressure is expected to affect Palestine on Tuesday. Cold conditions, rain and thunderstorms are expected to prevail, particularly in the north to later spread to the rest of the county during the night, said the PMD, which warned people against floods in valleys and low areas, strong winds, slippery roads and low horizontal visibility due to fog formation.
