RAMALLAH, Monday, January 11, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today in Palestine is mainly clear and slightly cold in mountainous districts and mild in other districts in daytime with a slight rise in temperature, which approaches 8 to 9°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Weather tonight is relatively cold in mountainous districts and mild in other districts. Light to moderate southeasterly wind blows in daytime, while southeasterly to northeasterly wind blows in nighttime. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 19°C and a low of 12°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 18°C and a low of 11°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 27°C and a low of 15°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 24°C and a low of 14°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Tuesday’s temperature is set to further rise and approach 9 to 10°C above the seasonal average, with mostly clear and mild to warm conditions in daytime and mild to slightly cold conditions in nighttime.
A further slight rise is expected in temperature on Wednesday, paving the way to cloudy and mild to warm conditions till midday. However, a cold front is set to affect the region in the evening and night hours, paving temperature to plummet and paving the way to sporadic rainfall with occasional thunderstorms.
A low pressure and cold front are set to affect the region on Thursday, causing temperature to further plummet and paving the way to cold and rainy conditions. Sporadic torrential rain showers with occasional thunderstorms and hail are expected on most districts.
