RAMALLAH, Sunday, December 13, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today in Palestine is partially cloudy to cloudy and moderate with a slight rise in temperature, to become slightly above the annual average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Winds are southeasterly to southwesterly and moderate to active at times. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 22°C and a low of 17°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 21°C and a low of 16°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 20°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 26°C and a low of 18°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Temperature drops on Monday as rain and possibly thunderstorms are expected in some areas during the night.
A low-pressure cold front is expected to affect the country on Tuesday with a significant drop in temperature. Rain and thunderstorms are expected in most regions, said the PMD.
Rain and thunderstorms are also expected on Wednesday, as the country remains under the effects of the cold front.
People are warned against the danger of flooding in low-lying areas, speedy winds, slippery roads and low horizontal visibility due to the formation of fog.
