RAMALLAH, Saturday, December 05, 2020 (WAFA) – A change in weather conditions is expected today in Palestine with a drop in temperature and rain and thunderstorms expected in most areas, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Weather tonight is partially cloudy and cold in the mountainous area with a chance of scattered showers and occasional thunderstorms expected in some areas.
Wind is northwesterly to southwesterly, moderate to active, and occasionally strong, while sea waves are medium to high.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 14°C and a low of 8°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 13°C and a low of 7°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 24°C and a low of 14°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 19°C and a low of 12°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
No change in temperature or weather conditions is expected for tomorrow, Sunday, with a chance for scattered showers in some area.
A rise in temperature is expected on Monday, and another sharp rise in temperature on Tuesday to reach 4°C above the annual average, said the PMD, warning against the formation today of floods in low areas and valley, particularly in the eastern districts of the country, strong winds, slippery roads and low horizontal visibility due to formation of clouds and mist.
