Palestine receives second medical aid package from Turkey to fight Covid-19

RAMALLAH, Monday, November 30, 2020 (WAFA) – Palestine received today the second package of medical assistance provided by the Turkish government to help fight the ongoing outbreak of the coronavirus COVID-19 in the country.

The Medical Materials Hand-Over ceremony was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Riyad al-Malki, Health Minister Mai al-Kaileh, Turkish Consul General to Palestine Ahmet Rıza Demirer, and Director of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) Ahmet Refik Çetinkaya.

Malki thanked the Turkish government for the aid, which included respirators and other medical materials, praising the Turkish support to the Palestinian government in confronting the Coronavirus pandemic.

He stressed that this aid confirms the depth of relations between the two countries, and the concerted international efforts to confront the health and economic repercussions of the pandemic worldwide.
