Weather forecast: Partially cloudy skies, sporadic rain showers

RAMALLAH, Wednesday, November 25, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy and relatively cold in daytime and cloudy and cold in nighttime with a further slight drop in temperature, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Sporadic rain showers are expected, with the rain intensifying towards the evening and night hours and accompanied by occasional thunderstorms. Moderate to active southwesterly to northwesterly wind blows with occasional gusts in nighttime. Sea waves are low to medium in daytime and medium to high in nighttime.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 18°C and a low of 11°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 17°C and a low of 10°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 18°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 24°C and a low of 15°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Thursday’s temperature is set to plummet and approach 6°C blow the seasonal average, paving the way to partly cloudy to cloudy and cold conditions. Scattered rain showers, which could be torrential, are expected to continue to fall with occasional thunderstorms.

Friday’s temperature is set to rise and approach 4°C below the seasonal average, while weather continues to be partially cloudy to cloudy and cold to relatively cold. Scattered rain showers, along with occasional thunderstorms, are expected.

A further slight rise is expected in temperature on Saturday, with partially cloudy to cloudy and relatively cold conditions, particularly in mountainous districts. Isolated rainfall with occasional thunderstorms are still expected.

PMD warns people against the formation of floods in valleys and low areas, gusty winds, slippery roads and low horizontal visibility on Wednesday and Thursday.
