Weather forecast: Partially cloudy skies, low pressure expected tomorrow

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, November 24, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is partially cloudy to clear and relatively cold in mountainous districts and moderate to warn in other districts in daytime, with no change in temperature, which remains slightly below the seasonal average, according to the Palestine Meteorological Department (PMD).

Weather tonight is partially cloudy and relatively cold, particularly in mountainous districts. Moderate to occasionally active easterly wind blows in daytime, while northeasterly wind blow in nighttime. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 18°C and a low of 11°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 17°C and a low of 10°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 18°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 24°C and a low of 15°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

A low pressure accompanied by a cold front is expected to affect Palestine on Wednesday, causing temperature to drop and approach 2°C below the seasonal average and paving the way to sporadic rain showers with occasional thunderstorms. The rain is set to intensify towards the evening and night hours.

Thursday’s temperature is set to plummet and approach 5°C blow the seasonal average as the low pressure continues to affect the region. Scattered rain showers, which could be torrential, are expected to continue to fall with occasional thunderstorms.

Friday’s temperature is set to rise and approach 3°C below the seasonal average, while weather continues to be partially cloudy to cloudy and cold to relatively cold. Scattered rain showers, along with thunderstorms, are expected.

PMD warns people against the formation of floods in valleys and low areas, gusty winds, slippery roads and low horizontal visibility.
