Weather: Clear skies, rise in temperature

RAMALLAH, Monday, November 23, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today in Palestine is partially cloudy to clear and relatively cold with another rise in temperature, which yet remains below the seasonal average, according to the Palestine Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are northeasterly to easterly and moderate to active. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 18°C and a low of 11°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 17°C and a low of 10°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 18°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 24°C and a low of 15°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

No change in weather conditions is expected on Tuesday, with partially cloudy skies prevailing throughout the day.

On Wednesday, a low pressure accompanied by a cold front is expected to affect Palestine, bringing with it a drop in temperature together with rain and thunderstorms in most areas, especially during the evening and night hours.

The low pressure is expected to continue on Thursday, thus scattered rain showers, along with thunderstorms, are expected. Temperature is expected to drop, becoming 4°C below the seasonal average.
