Weather forecast: Partially cloudy, rainy conditions

RAMALLAH, Friday, November 20, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is partially cloudy to cloudy and relatively cold, particularly in mountainous districts, as temperature plummets and approaches 2°C below the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Occasional rain showers and thunderstorms are expected. Moderate to active southwesterly to westerly wind blows with occasional gusts. Sea waves are medium to high.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 17°C and a low of 10°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 16°C and a low of 9°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 28°C and a low of 18°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 23°C and a low of 14°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Saturday’s temperature is set to further drop and approach 5°C below the seasonal average, paving the way to partially cloudy to cloudy and cold conditions, particularly in mountainous districts. Occasional rain showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected, with the rain diminishing towards the night.

Sunday’s temperature is set to rise by 2°C, paving the way to partially cloudy and relatively cold conditions in mountainous districts and mild conditions in other districts. Chance of sporadic light rainfall is still expected.

An additional slight rise in temperature is expected on Monday, paving the way to partially cloudy and relatively cold conditions in mountainous districts and mild conditions in other districts.

PMD warns people against the formation of floods in valleys and low areas, gusty winds, slippery roads and low horizontal visibility.
