Weather forecast: Relatively cold, rainy conditions

RAMALLAH, Thursday, November 05, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is cloudy and relatively cold in daytime with a further slight drop in temperature, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Weather tonight is cold in mountainous districts and relatively cold in other districts. Rain showers, which could be torrential, are set to fall with occasional thunderstorms, and will taper off towards the evening. Moderate to active southwesterly to northwesterly wind blows with occasional gusts. Sea waves are medium to high.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 16°C and a low of 12°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 15°C and a low of 11°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 26°C and a low of 18°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 20°C and a low of 16°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Friday’s temperature is set to slightly rise, with partially cloudy and relatively cold conditions. Sporadic rain showers with occasional thunderstorms are still expected. Cold conditions are expected in nighttime, particularly in mountainous districts.

A further rise is expected in temperature on Saturday, paving the way to partly cloudy to clear and relatively cold conditions in mountainous districts and mild conditions in other districts. A slight chance of isolated rain showers is still expected.

PMD warns people against gusty wind, low horizontal visibility, slippery roads and flash floods in valleys and low areas.
