RAMALLAH, Wednesday, November 04, 2020 (WAFA) – A low pressure with a cold front are set to affect the region today, causing temperature to further drop and paving the way to partially cloudy to cloudy and relatively cold to cold conditions.
Occasional rain showers, which could be torrential, are set to fall with thunderstorms, particularly in the evening and night hours. Moderate to active westerly to southwesterly wind blows with occasional gusts in daytime, while southwesterly to northwesterly wind blows in nighttime. Sea waves are medium to high.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 18°C and a low of 13°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 17°C and a low of 12°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 28°C and a low of 19°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 21°C and a low of 17°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Thursday’s weather is cloudy and relatively cold to cold, with a further slight drop in temperature. Rain showers, which could be torrential, are set to fall with occasional thunderstorms, and will taper off towards the evening.
Friday’s temperature is set to slightly rise, with partially cloudy and relatively cold to cold conditions. Sporadic rain showers with occasional thunderstorms are still expected.
A further rise is expected in temperature on Saturday, paving the way partly cloudy to clear and relatively cold conditions in mountainous districts and mild conditions in other districts.
PMD warns people against gusty wind, low horizontal visibility, slippery roads and flash floods in valleys and low areas.
