RAMALLAH, Monday, October 19, 2020 (WAFA) – The three Palestinian Arabic dailies highlighted in their issue published today Israeli, whether state or settlers, attacks against Palestinians in the occupied territories.
The main front-page story headline in al-Ayyam daily said: “The occupation army and settlers carry out detention campaign, demolition of structures and razing and fencing land.”
Al-Hayat al-Jadida daily said in the main story: “The occupation demolishes a house and agricultural structures in Hebron and turns thousands of dunums of land in the Jordan Valley into ‘nature reserves’.”
The third daily, al-Quds said: “Settlers close some 30,000 dunums of land in the Jordan Valley and carry out attacks in Jaloud and Urif (villages).”
It also said 119 settlers, led by the fanatic Yehuda Glick, broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque.
It said an Emirati delegation prayed at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The papers also reported on the situation of the Palestinian administrative detainee in Israel, Maher al-Akhras, who has been on hunger striker for 84 days.
Al-Quds made the case of al-Akhras as its main front-page story and said that he has reached the most critical stage as solidarity campaigns in his support continue in many areas.
Transferring Palestinian official Saeb Erekat to hospital in Israel following deterioration in his health was also highlighted on the front page of the three dailies.
Coronavirus and its impact in Palestine, the region, and the world was also reported on the front page of the three dailies.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida quoted Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh saying that his government will continue to work against weapons and security chaos in all its forms.
Al-Ayyam said a lawsuit is going to be raised at a Palestinian court against Britain over its mandate period of Palestine and the Balfour Declaration.
Al-Quds aid Israel and Bahrain signed in Manama seven memorandums of understanding and agreed to establish full diplomatic relations.
