RAMALLAH, Friday, October 09, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today in Palestine is very hot with another rise in temperature which approaches 10°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Light to moderate, easterly to southeasterly wind is expected, becomes occasionally active, and sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 35°C and a low of 20°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 34°C and a low of 19°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 43°C and a low of 27°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 34°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Temperature is expected to start going down as of tomorrow, Saturday, to approach 6°C above the seasonal average, and drops again on Sunday and Monday to become 3°C above the seasonal average, said the PMD, which warned people against direct exposure to the sun in the coming days for long periods, particularly between 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, as well as against setting fire to dry grass.
