RAMALLAH, Tuesday, October 06, 2020 (WAFA) – The Israeli army shooting and killing last night of a Palestinian in the north of the West Bank was highlighted on the front page of the three Palestinian Arabic dailies published today.
The three papers said Samir Ahmad Hameidi, 25, from the village of Beit Lid, was shot and killed east of the city of Tulkarm.
They also said several other Palestinians were injured in clashes with Israeli soldiers at different locations in the West Bank.
The main front-page story in al-Quds daily covered the report that came out in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz which talked about Jewish pillaging of Palestinian property in 1948 and considering it the hugest in the history of the world.
In other news, coronavirus at home, the region and the world continued to receive front-page coverage, as well as reports about US President Donald Trump and his recovery from coronavirus.
Al-Quds said Israeli police stopped Muslims attempting to reach Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem and fined them under the pretext of violating the coronavirus restrictions.
Al-Ayyam said Israeli soldiers carried out a drill in a Palestinian village in violation of instructions.
It said the foreign ministers of Israel and the United Arab Emirates are going to meet today in Germany.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida quoted Palestinian official Saeb Erekat accusing the superpowers of violating international law, which he said is the biggest threat to security and stability in the world.
It quoted a Hamas official saying that organizing the Palestinian home is going to be done by the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).
