Weather: Heatwave back with temperature higher than annual average by 6°C

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, October 06, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today in Palestine is very hot with a rise in temperature approaching 6°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are northwesterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, occasionally active and sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 20°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 30°C and a low of 19°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 40°C and a low of 26°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

No change in temperature or weather conditions is expected tomorrow, Wednesday, but another rise in temperature is expected on Thursday approaching 8°C above the seasonal average.

A drop by only 1°C is expected on Friday as the heatwave continues to affect Palestine.
