Weather forecast: Partly cloudy conditions, unseasonably low temperature

RAMALLAH, Friday, September 25, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy and mild in mountainous districts and relatively hot in other districts in daytime, with steady temperature which remains 2°C below the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Weather tonight is slightly cold in mountainous districts and mild in other districts. Light to moderate northwesterly wind blows with occasional gusts. Sea waves are low to medium.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 26°C and a low of 18°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 25°C and a low of 17°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 37°C and a low of 27°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 28°C and a low of 21°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Saturday’s temperature is set to remain steady with partly cloudy and mild conditions in mountainous districts and relatively hot conditions in other districts in daytime. Slightly cold conditions in mountainous districts and mild conditions in other districts are expected in nighttime. A chance of drizzle is expected in some districts in the morning.

A heavy stress is expected to affect the region on Sunday, causing temperature to significantly rise and approach 3°C above the seasonal average with relatively hot conditions in mountainous districts and hot conditions in other districts in daytime. Warm to mild conditions are expected in nighttime.

The heat stress is set to intensify on Monday, causing temperature to increase and approach 7°C above the average with very hot and dry conditions in daytime and relatively hot conditions in nighttime.

PMD warns people against low horizontal visibility on mountains in the late night and early morning hours.
