RAMALLAH, Thursday, September 24, 2020 (WAFA) - The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings increased by 0.03% in the West Bank during August compared with July, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
At the level of major groups, rental of equipment increased by 0.22%, and the prices of raw materials slightly increased by 0.04%. At the same time, labor costs and wages remained stable during August 2020 compared with the previous month.
The CCI for non-residential buildings also increased by 0.02% in the West Bank during August compared with July.
At the level of major groups, rental of equipment increased by 0.26%, and the prices of raw materials slightly increased by 0.03%. At the same time, labor costs and wages remained stable.
CCI for skeleton buildings, however, slightly decreased by 0.05% in the West Bank during August compared with July.
At the level of major groups, the prices of raw materials slightly decreased by 0.09%, while rental of equipment increased by 0.23%. At the same time, labor costs and wages remained stable.
The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) increased by 0.72% in the West Bank during August compared with July.
At the level of major groups, rental of equipment increased by 1.08%, and the prices of raw materials increased by 0.87%. At the same time, both labor costs and wages and operating costs of equipment and maintenance remained stable.
The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) increased by 0.13%, Water Networks Cost Index increased by 0.23%, while Water Reservoirs Cost Index decreased by 0.11% during August compared with the previous month.
The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) also increased by 0.19% in the West Bank during the same period.
