HEBRON, June 8, 2013 (WAFA) – Israeli soldiers Saturday destroyed for the third time the village of Kanaan activists had built on land between Bethlehem and Hebron slated for expropriation, according to Muhammad Breijeh, an activist with the anti-wall, anti-settlement committee in Bethlehem.
Israel plans to seize the land to expand illegal area settlements.
Breijeh said the soldiers confiscated the tents the activists had put up on the land and arrested three people following a brawl between the soldiers and the activists.
Fire broke out in the area due to Israeli soldiers using tear gas against the activists.
