HEBRON, April 1, 2026 (WAFA) – Colonists attacked Palestinian livestock herders on Wednesday in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, according to a local activist.
Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhmareh told WAFA that heavily armed colonists from outposts illegally established on residents’ lands in Masafer Yatta attacked livestock herders from the Alyan Awad family in the Wadi Abu Shaban area of Masafer Yatta, under the protection of Israeli occupation soldiers.
Colonists pelted the herders with stones and attempted to steal their sheep. The unarmed herders confronted them, after which Israeli occupation soldiers detained the herders at the scene.
