MUSCAT, April 1, 2026 (WAFA) – The Sultanate of Oman condemned the Israeli Knesset's approval of a law to execute prisoners, which it considers a violation of international humanitarian law, particularly regarding the protection of prisoners and detainees.

In a statement issued by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday, the Sultanate denounced any measures that legitimize harming the lives of Palestinian prisoners or diminishing their human rights.

It called on the international community to ensure respect for international law, provide the necessary protection for prisoners and detainees, and avoid escalation, in order to achieve regional and international security and stability.
