RAMALLAH, August 5, 2012 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas Sunday saw off the first shipment of the Palestinian aid convoy to Syria with the presence of Palestinian leadership.

Abbas said the convoy will include humanitarian aid, including food and medical supplies, urging to help the Palestinians and Syrian in their “tragic situation.”

Donations for the aid convoy were made by Palestinian philanthropists around the world to help the Palestinian refugees and Syrians, during the violent outbreak between the government and the opposition.

The convoy is scheduled to head to Jordan then to Syria.
