The mayor of Ramallah, Janet Michael said on the occasion 'as a sign of our appreciation for the efforts of the great ones like Mikhaeil, we named the streets of Ramallah, after them, in honor of their names and their sacrifices for the nation and its cause'.
She added: Mikhaeil is a Palestinian activist who made a lot of sacrifices and commitment to democratic principles and human rights, and for defending the homeland and the right to live in peace.
Mikhaeil was born in the city of Ramallah. He completed his primary and secondary education in the Friends School. He obtained a doctorate in political science from Harvard University in the United States, and worked at the universities of Princeton and Washington. He joined the Palestinian Revolution in 1969 and served in the Palestinian Research Centre in the Palestinian Planning Center. He was lost on 20/07/1976 was with nine of cadres of the resistance.
