RAMALLAH, April 25, 2010 (WAFA) - Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said, today, the overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) reached 100.04, and the overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) reached 100.10 in February 2010.
PCBS reported, the overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) reached 100.04 in February 2010 with an increase of 0.04% compared with previous month, (January 2010=100), and the overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) reached 100.10 in February 2010 with an increase of 0.10% compared with the previous month. (January 2010=100).
Analysis of Water Networks Cost Index developments for January indicated changes in the cost of the following major Water Networks inputs compared with previous month: Reservoirs by + 0.70%; Iron by +2.32%; Construction work and paint by + 1.47%; Concrete by - 0.28%; Water Networks by - 0.25%; Asphalt, bitumen mixture and its products by - 3.12%, Administrative expenses by - 1.16%; Wages and other costs by -0.05%; Plastic and steel Pipes by + 0.46%.
Analysis of Sewage Networks Cost Index developments for January indicated changes in the cost of the following major Sewage Networks inputs compared with previous month: Wages and other costs by + 3.06%; Fountains by + 1.71%; Deface Materials by + 0.06%; Asphalt, bitumen mixture and its products by - 3.12%; Plastic and Cements Pipes by - 0.84%; Excavations by - 0.06%.
West Bank: Excluding those parts of Jerusalem which were annexed by Israel in 1967.The difference in the percent change in major groups of water networks and sewage networks Cost Index is due to the nature compositions of these major groups.
