BETHLEHEM, April 25, 2010 (WAFA)- Many participants in a demonstration against the Apartheid Wall in the West Bank town of Beit Jala west of Bethlehem were injured Sunday due to gas inhalation, while an international woman was arrested by Israeli soldiers.
The march was organized by the National Committee against the Wall in Beit Jala. It started from the Orthodox Club in the town, with the participation of international and Israeli pacifists as dozens of citizens, heading to the Apartheid Wall, where they removed the barbed wire.
Israeli soldiers attacked the march, injuring a number of participants, including , Palestine Legislative Council Member (PLC), Dr. Mustafa Barghouthi.
PLC Member, Fayez El Sakka emphasized that the popular resistance will continue until the establishment of a the Palestinian state, calling for increasing it to include several sites in the Palestinian territory.
