NABLUS, April 14, 2010 (WAFA)- Extremist settlers attacked, today, a mosque, and set private vehicles on fire, in Howara town, south of northern West bank city of Nablus.
Palestinian sources affirmed that groups of settlers, believed to have set out from nearby Yetzhar Settlement, attacked the town under cover of darkness, to carry out aggressions that are not the first of their kind.
Ghassan Daghlas, in charge of the settlement activities file in the north of the West Bank, said that the settlers have attacked a mosque in Howara and painted racist slogans and David’s star.
Mayor Samer Howari that the settlers tried to sabotage a gas station in town, but the citizen’s vigilance prevented that.
Howara, like many other villages and towns in the West Bank, is subjected to almost daily aggressions, without any prevention from the police or the Israeli army.
