Israeli Police Demolishes House in East Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, November 18, 2008, (WAFA) – Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) demolished a house Tuesday, owned by Jamal Abu Snaina, in  Al-Isaweya neighborhood in East Jerusalem.

 

The Israeli Police attacked the house, 180 m2   ,which shelters 6 persons, and demolished it for the third time. They ordered the family to evacuate the house under gunpoint, while curfew was imposed to prevent angry protesters of reaching the house.

 

Abu Snaina said, “they demolished my house because it is close to the Hebrew University. They would use the place as a bus station to the surrounding colonies.

 

Moreover, the Israeli police handed many families in Al-Isaweya  neighborhood demolishing notices.
