Gaza death toll rises to 72,329 since Oct. 7

GAZA, April 12, 2026 (WAFA) – Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Strip has risen to 72,329 and 172,192 others were wounded since the start of the offensive on October 7, 2023.

The sources reported that Gaza Strip hospitals received one new slain civilian and another whose body was recovered, along with eight wounded individuals, in the past 24 hours.

They indicated that the total number of slain civilians since the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to 750, and the total number of wounded to 2,090, while 760 bodies have been recovered.

The same sources explained that a number of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and rescue teams have been unable to reach them so far.
