BEIRUT, April 12, 2026 (WAFA) – The daily report issued by the Disaster Risk Management Unit at the Lebanese Prime Minister’s Office on Sunday indicated that the number of displaced people in shelters has risen to 140,682 individuals, representing 36,832 families, distributed across 684 shelters in various regions amid ongoing escalation and intensifying hostilities.
According to the report, the cumulative death toll has reached 2,055, while the number of injured stands at 6,588. In the past 24 hours alone, 35 people were killed and 152 others injured.
The report also documented 6,986 hostile incidents since the escalation began, underscoring the continued deterioration on the ground and its direct humanitarian impact.
Israeli attacks on multiple areas in Lebanon have continued for weeks, resulting in widespread displacement, damage to infrastructure, mounting pressure on shelters and the healthcare sector, and warnings of an impending humanitarian crisis if the conflict persists.
