BEIRUT, April 12, 2026 (WAFA) – The daily report issued by the Disaster Risk Management Unit at the Lebanese Prime Minister’s Office on Sunday indicated a rise in the number of displaced people in shelters to 140,682 individuals, representing 36,832 families, distributed across 684 shelters in various regions amid ongoing escalation and increasing hostilities.
According to the report, the cumulative death toll has reached 2,055, while the number of injured stands at 6,588. Over the past 24 hours, 35 people were killed, and 152 others were injured.
The report also documented 6,986 hostile incidents since the escalation began, reflecting the continued deterioration on the ground and its direct humanitarian impact.
This comes as Israeli attacks on multiple areas in Lebanon have continued for weeks, leading to displacement, damage to infrastructure, and pressure on shelters and the healthcare sector, alongside warnings of a worsening humanitarian crisis if the conflict persists.
