JERUSALEM, April 12, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities on Sunday issued fines against Palestinian citizens in the Abu Jamal neighborhood in the town of Jabal al-Mukaber, in occupied Jerusalem, as part of ongoing restrictions on Palestinian residents.
The Jerusalem Governorate said four fines, each amounting to 2,000 shekels (about $650), were issued against local residents on the pretext of “laundry drying lines,” in an example of escalating arbitrary measures reaching into the smallest details of daily life.
It added that these actions are part of a systematic policy aimed at pressuring and harassing Palestinian residents in Jerusalem through continuous administrative and financial penalties affecting basic household activities.
