ISLAMABAD, April 12, 2026 (WAFA) – Delegations from the United States and Iran left the Pakistani capital Islamabad early Sunday after concluding intensive negotiations hosted by Pakistan.
The U.S. delegation, led by Vice President JD Vance, and the Iranian delegation departed the city following the end of the talks, which were aimed at reaching an agreement to end the ongoing conflict.
Vance announced that no final agreement had been reached, describing the proposals presented as the United States' “last and best offer,” awaiting Iran's final response.
Iran said that the two sides had reached understandings on several issues while remaining divided on others, adding that a final agreement had not been achieved.
Tehran noted that the talks took place in an atmosphere of mistrust, saying it was natural that no immediate deal should be expected at this stage.
