CAIRO, November 17, 2008 (WAFA)- Barakat Al-Farra, Acting Palestinian Ambassador to Egypt, chaired, Monday, the meeting of the Arab Economic Unity (AEU) General Secretariat, held at the Council’s headquarters in Cairo.
Al-Farra said that, “since the council has been established, circumstances and variants were not helpful.” He hoped that the Council could bring back its real status, adding that if decision makers were to follow the Council’s decisions, we would have overcome a lot of economic troubles.
In the meeting, the Council discussed the 88th session’s agenda, and the impacts of the world financial crisis on Arab countries.
