PCHR: IOF Kills 4 Palestinians, Arrests 29

GAZA, November 16, 2008 (WAFA)- Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) killed 4 Palestinians, arrested 29 and wounded 7 in 34 military attacks carried out in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip in the period between November 6-12, 2008, according to the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) weekly report.

In its weekly report, PCHR declared that IOF continued their systematic attacks against Palestinian citizens and property in the Palestinian Territory, between November 6-12, 2008. Israeli violations of international and humanitarian laws escalated during the above mentioned period.

According to the report, IOF killed 4 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and wounded 7 Palestinians civilians, including a child, and an international human rights activist.

IOF conducted 31 military attacks into Palestinian communities in the West Bank, and 3 others in the Gaza Strip. Israeli troops arrested 29 Palestinian civilians, including 2 children, in the West Bank, and transformed a house in Nablus into a military point. IOF special units kidnapped 3 Palestinians in the north of the West Bank as Israeli Authorities continued to impose a total siege on the Occupied Palestinian Territory and have isolated Gaza Strip from the outside world.

The report stated that, “IOF have continued to close all border and commercial crossings in the Gaza Strip. IOF troops positioned at military checkpoints in the West Bank arrested 5 Palestinian civilians. Israeli Occupation Authorities went on with colonial activities in the West Bank; Jewish colonizers have continued to attack Palestinian civilians and property.”
