President Abbas Lays Cornerstone of Yasser Arafat Museum

 

RAMALLAH, November 12, 2008 (WAFA)- President Mahmoud Abbas said, Wednesday, that the Palestinian Leadership will do of its best for achieving the Palestinian national unity, because that is the will of the Palestinian people.

 

President Abbas added, in a ceremony held, Wednesday, on the occasion of laying the corner stone of Yasser Arafat Museum in Ramallah, that, 'we will not give up on the Palestinian national dialogue, despite all obstacles Hamas puts in the way.'

 

He affirmed that Egypt will pursue its efforts to assemble all Palestinian factions and to start a comprehensive national dialogue to end the division and bring back unity to the Palestinian people. He stated, 'our main goal is to unite our people in Gaza and the West Bank. We will do of our best to reach this goal sought by the Palestinian people.'

 

The President said that, 'we lay the corner stone of Yasser Arafat Museum to commemorate the Late Palestinian President, and to reserve his legacy, so that he remains in the memory of all Palestinians.'

 

Nasser Al-Qidwa, Chairman of Yasser Arafat Foundation that this is a very important step in the way of preserving President Arafat's legacy as part of the Palestinian heritage, kept in the memory of Palestinian generations.
