President Abbas: We Will Make Efforts in Palestinian Dialogue

Sharm Al-Sheikh, November 9, 2008 (WAFA)- President Abbas said, Sunday that negotiations between the Israelis and the Palestinians will continue until the new Israeli and US Governments are formed.

 

President Abbas added, in a joint press conference with  Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tzipi Livni that, meetings with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, and Tzipi Livni, will continue to be held. He explained that the Quartet meeting produced a detailed report of the negotiations conducted since Annapolis conference, under American auspices.”

 

The President continued on, “we know that we will not achieve peace now, but we will make every effort possible in this direction.”

 

Concerning the Palestinian internal dialogue, he stated, “we decided to come to Egypt for the Palestinian dialogue, but unfortunately, Hamas suddenly announced boycotting the meeting despite the tremendous efforts exerted by Egypt.”
