Palestinian Flags in Lile Rebuffing Gaza Siege

 

PARIS, July 20, 2008, (WAFA)- Dozens of balloons painted with the Palestinian flag were freed late on Saturday up to hover in the French city of Lile celebrating the 60 anniversary of the Palestinian people Nakba and a sign of rebuffing the tough Israeli siege imposed on Gaza Strip for the third year running.

 

The celebration was organized by the charitable committee for siding Palestine in France. The initiative was launched by the European Campaign against the siege on Gaza. 60 balloons were fired just as many as the number of the Palestinian Nakba.

 

The celebration gathered dozens of the Palestinians living in France, dozens of high level French personalities and a group of children from Nablus city of the West Bank.

 

The participants affirmed the necessity of intensifying the efforts and activities of solidarity with the Palestinian people, Gaza citizens in particular, allover the world.
