BETHLEHEM, July 18, 2008, (WAFA)- Head of the Civil Affairs Department in the Palestinian National Authority(PNA)Hussien al- Sheikh said that Israeli authorities have decided to increase the quantity of fuel pumped into the Gaza Strip on Friday.

 Al- Sheikh told reporters that the ammount of gas to be transfered into Gaza wil rise from 75,000 to 120,000 liters per day. The amount of Benzene will be increased from 800 thousand to one million 200,000 liters per day. Industrial fuel pumped to the power plant will be increased from 2,200,000 to 2, 900,000 liters.

During recent weeks, Israel has been providing the Gaza Strip with limited quantities of fuel despite the truce that went in effect on 19 June.
