TUNIS, July 10, 2008, (WAFA)-Spain's Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos said on Thursday that Spain and the European Union reject the continuity of settlements activities in the Palestinian territories.

In a press conference with Tunisian Foreign Minister Abed al-Wahab Abdulla in Tunis, Moratinos affirmed that settlements activities in the Palestinian territories post obstacles to peace and undermine hopes for reaching peace in the Middles East.

Spain's FM added that the Palestinian people is entitled to establish a Palestinian state, calling on the International unity to contribute for its establishment.

Moratinos reiterated his country's support for the Palestinian stance, adding that we will continue all diplomatic and political efforts to support the Palestinian people.
