JERICHO, July, 07, 2008, (WAFA)-Head of the PLO Negotiations Affairs Department Saeb Ereikat stressed the necessity for halting all settlements activities, releasing the prisoners and exhuming the bodies of martyrs.

During a meting with Deputy Speaker of  the Bulgarian Parliament Petar Beron  in Jericho on Monday, Ereikat called for the return of the deportees, return situation on the ground prier to September 2000 and reopen closed institutions and offices in east Jerusalem as well as lifting siege imposed on the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Ereikat and his guest discussed the latest developments on the ground and political arenas, particularly the peace process.

Ereikat affirmed the Palestinian commitments of the international legitimacy relative to the Road Map, stressing the necessity for compelling Israel to fully withdraw from all occupied Arab territories occupied in 1967, establishing an independent Palestinian state, with east Jerusalem as its capital and solving the final status issues in accordance to the international legitimacy resolutions.
