LJUBLJANA, July 02, 2008, (WAFA)-President Mahmoud Abbas received on Wednesday a phone call from U.S President George.W Bush during his stay in Slovenia capital, Ljubljana.
Presidency Spokesperson Nabil Abu Rdeina said that President Bush told President Abbas that he is ready to intervene in the negotiations 'if you ask me' and the Secretary of State will receive the two delegations in the middle of July.
Abu Rdeina added that the President Bush said that he would work for the concept that the target is an independent Palestinian state.
Abu Rdeina concluded that President Abbas stressed the necessity for reaching an agreement this year and exerting efforts as well as removing obstacles to reach an agreement.
