BERLIN, June 24, 2008, (WAFA)- International donors committed on Tuesday 242 million dollars for security infrastructure in the Palestinian territories, a German government source said.
The sources added that the money will be passed to the Palestinian National Authority(PNA) over the next three years and will be spent on grassroots measures like putting more police on the beat and building police stations and courthouses to create conditions for a viable Palestinian state.
An international conference opened today in Berlin aiming to bolster the rule of law in the Palestinian territories. This conference attended by 41 countries.
