In a statement on Tuesday, the Spokesperson said that President Abbas and his counterpart Husni Mubarak exerted much more efforts during past months with all concerned parties to reach a state of calm to save our people from the dire situation on all levels, adding that every citizen in the Gaza Strip and homeland longing for such calm.
The Spokesperson elaborated that President called on all factions in the Gaza Strip to abide by what was agreed upon so as to maintain the high interests of the Palestinian people, lift the siege on the Gaza Strip and end the division and unite the homeland under the banner of legitimacy.
