BETHLEHEM ,May 23, 2008, (WAFA)-Prime Minister Salam Fayyad said on Friday that the total number of projects and initiatives that was announced in Palestine Investment Conference (PIC) reached one billion and 400 million dollars.

This came during a press conference that followed the conclusion of the three day conference in Bethlehem in the presence of hundreds of local and international investors and Arab and foreign businessmen.

The Primer pointed out that the amount came after the announcement of a number of initiatives and projects on the sidelines of the conference belong to sectors of economy, housing, finance, communications, technology, education and industry.

Fayyad expected that such investments would create 35000 jobs in addition to the expected of future new job opportunities in light of the implementation of other projects.
