Israeli Courts Sentence Detainees and Expand Imprisonment Period for others
NABLUS, March 24, 2007, (WAFA)-International Solidarity Organisation for Human Rights said Saturday that the Israeli military courts sentenced detainees and expand the detention period of others in Israeli jails.
In its report on the activities and following the Israeli courts, it reported that Salem military court ruled out number of detainees, including Muhammad Abu fibers for 6 months and NIS 1000 shekels (dollar equivalent of nearly 4.18 shekels). Mohammed Daoud for 15 months and 2000 shekels, Ibrahim Zeid for 30 months and 2000 shekels, Raed Younis for 36 months and 2000 shekels and Saeed Matar for 15 months and 1500 shekels.
It added that the court also extended the detention period of each of Anwar Mraabh, Essam objector, Rabe'a Nassar , Amjad Awwad, Memon Eleiwi, Ayyub Mur'aeb, Fuad Ryan and Abduljabbar Qabha. While Salem Court issued indictments against each of Abdel Nasser Abu Saiden, Mohammed Jamal Al-Khatib, Nidal Hourani and Mustafa Abed. It also sentenced administratively Ahmed Ahmed.
