GAZA, April 12, 2026 (WAFA) – Several civilians were injured on Sunday evening after being shot by Israeli forces near Al-Halabi Roundabout in Jabalia al-Balad, north of the Gaza Strip, while artillery shelling targeted eastern areas of Khan Yunis, as well as areas northwest of Gaza City.

In a related development, medical sources announced earlier that the toll of those killed and injured in the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 72,329 and 172,192, respectively, since October 7, 2023.

The sources added that hospitals in the Strip reported one new fatality and the recovery of another body over the past 24 hours, in addition to eight injuries.

They also noted that since the ceasefire went into effect on October 11, the total number of those killed has reached 750, while injuries have risen to 2,090, with 760 bodies recovered during the same period.

Medical teams further warned that many victims remain trapped under rubble or scattered in the streets, as emergency and rescue crews are unable to reach them due to ongoing shelling and dangerous field conditions.
