Moussa Stresses Importance of Economic, Social Files of Next Summit
Cairo, March 23, 2007 (WAFA) - Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa asserted the importance of the economic and social files of Riyadh summit, which will promote joint Arab action in the field of trade, industry, Agriculture, education and health.
In a statement delivered Friday, Moussa said that the preparatory meetings of the Arab summit will begin tomorrow in Riyadh by a meeting at the level of permanent delegates followed by a meeting of the Economic and Social Council which will prepare the economic and social files to the summit, then foreign ministers meeting to prepare for the summit will be held.
He also pointed out that many issues will be discussed during the summit, including a comprehensive document on developing education and scientific research. "This document proposes a plan of action for comprehensive reform and modernization of Education institutions in the Arab world," he added.
